Our cookie policy and how we use them

This policy explains how the Acrylic website uses cookies and browser storage. In this document, “cookies” also includes similar browser-storage technologies such as localStorage.
Our approach
- We use storage for sign-in, security, interface settings you choose, and first-party analytics on marketing pages.
- We measure marketing-page usage with PostHog and Google Analytics. Random visitor identifiers are stored in first-party cookies (and, for PostHog, localStorage) so return visits can be counted. We do not currently show a consent banner for this measurement.
- We send only page paths and explicitly defined conversion events.
- Analytics events exclude document content, prompts, file names, email addresses, full URL queries, and form input.
- We do not use advertising, retargeting, session recording, heatmaps, or automatic click capture.

auth_last_method stores only the sign-in method and OAuth provider, not an email address. Language is managed in the current URL path.
Audience analytics
Acrylic uses PostHog and Google Analytics to understand marketing-page visits and key conversions. Each stores a random visitor ID in a first-party cookie; PostHog also uses localStorage. The marketing site does not identify accounts. Google advertising features, retargeting, session recording, heatmaps, and automatic click capture stay off.

Your controls
Acrylic respects the browser's Do Not Track signal. You can also block analytics scripts or network requests with browser or content-blocking tools. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in from working, while blocking functional storage may stop your selected settings from being remembered.
